BUTTERFLYING

If you have ever been curious about what Together at Peace stands for, I think sharing the beautiful story Charlotte French wrote to us will help define our purpose.

Together at Peace is a foundation with a mission: to spread and support hopeful bereavement care. And What do we mean by hopeful bereavement care? Anything and everything that is an uplifting way to remember and share the legacy of a loved one we have lost. While we can’t take the pain of loss away, we can help inspire something beautiful to do with all the love.

Together at Peace is a community that aims to inspire the world to find ways to live with, honor, and share the unique love we carry after a loved one passes away. We want to create comfort and connection after loss, helping heal hearts by spreading the light that still shines bright. One beautiful way of doing just that is by remembering "the little things,” stopping to see the signs, or to find out that the little things ARE the signs.

Thank you, Charlotte, for sharing your mother’s beautiful little things and all the ways you still feel her love with you.

What is the first name of your loved one or loved ones that have passed away? : Pamela French

What are some of the little things you will always remember and love about them? (favorite things, meals, trips, quotes, funny things they did, memories) : My favorite things I remember of my mom are her smile because it could light up anyone’s day, including mine. I loved her laugh because it was pure happiness and you can feel the happiness that she had, and always wanted to share. Lastly (there are so many more) her gentleness and delicacy in how she cared for everyone and everything.

How do you celebrate their heavenly birthday? : I always visit her tree and bring new flowers to it on different occasions.

What do you do on the anniversary of their passing? : Bring flowers to her tree

How does their love inspire you today? : Her love inspires me to this day because I wish to be just like her from how I remember her. I wish to carry on her love, for all the love she didn’t get to show over these years. I want to be in her footprint, inspiring others and showing them where love can take you.

Share any signs, dreams, or experiences of peace you have felt after they passed: My sign from my mom is a butterfly, I’ll always see one flying around me during (not just coincidental) times. For instance, once I committed to college, it was a really stressful time for me and I was having a hard time with it. But as soon as I walked away from hitting “commit” a butterfly flew right up to my window. This is just one of the many times I’ve seen one. And for this reason, I got a butterfly tattooed on me forever, transitioning into an angel as my mom was my delicate butterfly. She forever lives on my skin and bones now, as well as my heart where she’s always belonged.
