A Sparkle of Hope Ignites a World of Good
Our hearts are full of love and gratitude to all of you for sharing your love and generosity to support the Together at Peace Foundation and It was a sparkling success! Because of YOU, we raised over $100,000 (and counting...) in funds and also a vibrant awareness around our dedication to inspiring uplifting ways to honor and celebrate the love and legacies alive in our lives. We also shared our mission to support hopeful bereavement care for the world! The funds raised go directly to fulfilling current wishlists and supporting meaningful new initiatives with our partner hospitals and charities.
Our event was full of stations dedicated to advancing the mission of helping to find and share Comfort and Connection. The 'Hug a Bear' care packing donation station offered a meaningful opportunity to share love and comfort with those who've recently lost a loved one. These cuddle bears and other Together at Peace items are packed with compassion and donated as part of our charity partner wishlist fulfillment program. An artist's masterpiece symbolizing golden hope took shape as sunlight streamed through the windows, and guests left heartfelt messages on the 'Forever in our Hearts' remembrance wall. Art is so healing and the golden hope was captivating as guests moved to the “Forever in our Hearts” remembrance wall to write heartfelt messages and tributes to the love and legacies alive in their lives. Penny conversations among tables created special moments to share stories of life, love and legacy. A collective sparkle of hope was beaming above the crowd as a live singer took the mic and closed the event with “Pennies from Heaven.” The event as a whole showcased the transformative power of unity, compassion, and art in our collective human experience.
All these wonderful activities and stations were only further built upon by the powerful words of many wonderful speakers. Founder Christine Marzullo and partner Brittany Jelenik shared words of inspiration, illuminating the vision and mission of Together at Peace. Emcee Whitney Reynolds, drawing from a personal connection to the foundation, rallied guests to support the shared mission of spreading HOPE globally. Lindsay Bona from Advocate spoke about the impact Together at Peace has had on their bereavement program, inspiring new initiatives for spiritual resilience and the importance of our ongoing partnership to reach the most people in their time of need. Kim Pickering moved many to tears as she encouraged everyone to spread kindness in honor of her daughter Kendall and shared stories of signs and the little things that help her find the strength to keep Kendall’s light shining. A black rubberband… a circle of hope and one of Kendall’s signs has sparked overflowing texts and messages becoming a common thread to unite us all on our journey to heal and feel peace and continued connection to the love alive in our hearts.
We are so grateful to you for sharing your afternoon with us celebrating hope, connection, and the power of supporting one another on our journeys to heal and feel peace. To all of our guests, sponsors, in-kind donors, auction winners, raffle ticket holders and volunteers - thank you for showing up strong and supporting this important cause that touches the hearts of so many bringing peace, hope and sharing inspiration from our loved ones who have passed away.
